Event: Long weekend in North Korea, leaving Friday morning arriving Monday evening
Venue: Pyongyang, DMZ, Mount Myohang etc.

Status

We have got more than minimum amount of participants for trip on first weekend of April. We have started trip preparations. More people are wellcome to join.

 

Cost

For members 9300RMB, for non-members 10500RMB.Price depends on the size of the group. On our last trip total price for members was 8930RMB. Price includes flights, hotels, meals in DPRK, bus transports in DPRK. Price dont include drinks price of which are at the same level as in Beijing.


Visa Application

We try to make most of the visa paperworks before mid March.

Your passport should have more than 6 months validity time left.

You need to send two passport photos to us in Beijing ( ask colleaque or friend traveling to Beijing to take them ). We arrange postal address with reliable delivery to you later.

Visa application form and passport copy you can send by email or in paper format. First scan first spread ( pages 02 and 03 ) of your passport ( use pdf format if possible ). Fill in the visa application form and send both files to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . When filling in the visa form use mostly your Finnish information. In company address and telephone number put your Chinese contact numbers so that embassy can contact you if they want to check something.

 

Accommodation in Yangkakdo hotel

If two persons stay in the same room there is a discount.

 

Trip Program Proposal ( some changes possible )

First day   Friday morning
Morning Gather at the Capital Airport, and take the flight to Pyongyang
Night in hotel.

Second day  Sat.
Morning call.
Buffet breakfast.
Go to Panmunjom in Kaesong，
visit Armistice negotiating Hall
the Military line, Koryo Museum.
Go back to Pyongyang in afternoon
visit the Tower of Juche Idear ,
the Tower of Juche Idear Triumphal Arch、Mansudae Monument、Cholima Statue    

Third day  Sun.
Morning call
Go to Mt. Myohang，
visit International Friendship Exhibition Hall。
Go back to Pyongyang after lunch、
visit the world deepest subway —Pyongyang subway;
Kim IL Sung’s Birthplace in Mangyongdae;
Kim IL Sung Square. Youth palace or school

Fourth day Mon.
Morning call.
Buffet  
Shopping time in export shop etc in Pyongyang
14:00  Coach to airport and sight seeing on the way, Flight CA122 back to BJ(17:20--18:05).

Preparing for the Trip

Usually at least part of the trip have to be prepaid. DPRK visa application takes 7 to 14 days. You have to give your passport to the arranging agent some days before the trip starts.

Tips for the Trip

What to take with you:
  • warm clothes
  • euro and USD currency, small notes and coins ( both USD and euro can be used in DPRK )
  • alarm clock
  • list of important phone numbers printed on paper
  • insurance card / information
  • small and light flashlight and batteries
  • spare memories and batteries for you camera
What not to take with you:
  • mobile phone, especially no SIM cards
  • DVDs, tapes
  • radio, any kind of transmitters
  • magazines
  • books
